MATCOR is a leading cathodic protection and corrosion prevention company; providing materials and services to global clients for over 40 years.

An expert in the field of cathodic protection, MATCOR offers proprietary corrosion protection products, installation, cathodic protection testing, maintenance and complete corrosion protection project management. MATCOR specializes in protecting the infrastructure of the oil and gas, electric utility, transportation and water industries.

This is an entry-level position, requiring the ability to haul heavy equipment to job sites and perform general labor. If you do not have a CDL MATCOR will provide training and experience to pass the CDL class A test. 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Follow and promote SAFETY measures always, per company policy.
  • Basic construction site manual labor, to include dirt work, equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Moving equipment to job sites, offloading materials and installation of materials per design.
  • Follow Drilling Foreman lead on proper job site set up and clean up.
  • Dirt work to include: Mechanically dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications. Some dirt work done with hand tools.
  • Must be able to operate trucks and heavy equipment to and from job sites; SAFELY
  • Will operate equipment: backhoe, trencher, mini excavator, and forklift SAFELY. Training will be provided and employee will have to pass Operator Qualifications tests.
  • Perform routine/preventative maintenance and inspection on equipment.
  • Provide and maintain accurate paperwork.

Travel: 70%

Must be able to travel and stay near job sites for 2 weeks.


  • Prefer Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record. If NOT, employee must be willing to get Class A CDL within 3 months of employment. Matcor will provide CDL training and experience along with access to equipment for CDL test.
  • Minimum 1-year construction and/or field work experience
  • Must be able to pass DOT drug test and physical.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations for drivers and trucks.
  • Significant travel required (domestic only) typically home on weekends.
  • Able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Prefer candidate resides or plans to reside within 60 miles of the office.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Must be willing to work long hours such as 12-hour shifts when required.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with a bias towards safety, quality and productivity.
