MATCOR is a leading cathodic protection and corrosion prevention engineering design and manufacturing company, providing environmentally beneficial systems and services to global clients for over 40 years.  MATCOR, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brand /Safway.  

An expert in the field of cathodic protection, MATCOR offers proprietary corrosion protection products, installation, cathodic protection testing, maintenance and complete corrosion protection project management. MATCOR specializes in protecting the infrastructure of the oil and gas, electric utility, transportation and water industries.

MATCOR is looking for a Technical Customer Service Representative to fill an opening in their Manufacturing department. Interested candidates should have 5 years of related experience and meet the below requirements.


  1. Develop and issue MATCOR Quotations/ Process incoming orders
    • Review incoming requests for orders or for quotes and pricing by Account Managers (and others) to ensure completeness.
    • Consult with Account Manager, must research and clarify pertinent details of incoming orders, RFQ's.
    • Take lead in generating quotes and make sure they are 100% complete.
    • Prioritize work based on agreed-upon deadlines.
    • Base pricing, on agreed upon margins for third party materials and proprietary products, dictated by Sales Management.
    • Understand and utilize MATCOR quoting software (currently VISTA) to generate quotes.
    • Work with Procurement to ensure pricing used is recent and accurate and collaborate on obtaining quotes as needed.
    • Confirm data being entered is consistent with MATCOR standards and check quotes for accuracy before providing to Account Manager or customer; check orders for accuracy before generating Job Traveler and Order Acknowledgement.
    • Prepare production routing (Job Traveler) to ensure proper manufacturing of required product; address corrections to standard BOMs as needed.
    • Review, communicate internal specifications to ensure order fulfillment accuracy
    • Participate in all aspects of the Quality Management System/ ISO as job duties dictate and as requested for investigations, audits, SOP changes, etc.
    • Issue Quotes in timely manner to meet schedules as directed by Account Managers; process orders in timely manner (1 day turnaround).
    • "Own" and be accountable for Configurator, determine when updates need to be changed in the Configurator, contact IT and ensure changes have been made.
  2. Proposal Development
    • Provide quotes in accordance with above-referenced procedures.
    • Furnish proposal number (VISTA number) for each proposal generated, as applicable.
  3. Sales and Marketing Support, as needed
    • SFDC
      • Task all leads from sales@matcor to appropriate Account Manager.
      • Upload Quotes generated into Opportunity location (as well as placing files on M Drive).
    • Remain current with industry trends, and communicate information and/or intelligence to marketing and management.
    • Provide training to Account Managers and PMs as needed regarding quotes, orders and costing.
  4. General
    • Prioritize work in a fast-paced environment to meet commitments.
    • Be organized, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Pay close attention to detail through follow-up.
    • Proactive behaviors, solicit information timely, backup Procurement, MPM and Customer Service administrator as needed and upon request.
    • Achieve quarterly goals (Rocks) on time and thoroughly; identify new goals for discussion.
    • Work with production staff to gather statistical data and scheduling inputs for the purpose of improving planning accuracy and for inclusion in product costing, as needed. Maintain part master in collaboration with inventory management and engineering; develop part codes and review mapping as needed for raw, sub assembly, WIP and FG.
    • Special projects as assigned and identified


  • 5 year's experience in a similar role
  • College degree preferred
  • ERP knowledge
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to details is a must
  • Willingness to bring forth new ideas and solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and apply time management skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical ability; proficient in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other computer programs
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
