MATCOR specializes in protecting the infrastructure of the oil and gas, electric utility, transportation and water industries.

Job Objective:

MATCOR is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our financial team.  The ideal candidate will have a financial background with great attention to detail. The Billing and A/P Specialist will assume responsibility for billing out invoices along with assisting our shared services department with A/P.  The candidate will have familiarity with service and manufacturing costing techniques.  This is a unique opportunity for an individual that wants to make an impact and be part of a growing and dynamic company.   

Essential Functions:

  • Verify and process daily billing submissions.
  • Review and understand contracts.
  • Support revenue accruals on a monthly basis.
  • Support operations in tracking of projects status with billing.
  • Post daily invoice upload into the reporting system.
  • Comprehends costs including but not limited to materials, labor, freight and overhead.
  • Assist with collections to gather documents needed for invoice submission to the customer.
  • Set up new suppliers.
  • Coding A/P invoices.
  • Verify supplier balance and assist in keeping them current.
  • Perform month end close entries related to billing and AP
  • Complete special projects and other duties as may be assigned.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Comprehends revenue and costs. 
  • Understanding of sales and use taxes.
  • Understanding of shipped and unbilled reports.
  • Experience with service and manufacturing costing procedures. 
  • Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Work well in a Team-Orientated Environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Computer-related activities, such as typing and viewing a computer monitor are required. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in the industrial or construction service sector is a plus. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word.
